Pros
-student engagement and several club options for students -many athletes on campus to encourage the rigorous academic standing for the school itself
Cons
-the housing department may need a change in communication and/ or staff...I have had some issues with miscommunication with them.

Pros
Close to home Not as costly A lot to do around campus
Cons
Professors were either great or did not care. Getting anything done takes months. Even as a student assistant it makes difficult to get recognition .

Pros
It got me the degree that I wanted
Cons
This program, in specific, usually favors you if you are a staff favorite, meaning that if the staff such as the professors or the director don’t like you they will make it known. I was lucky enough to not be disliked or to be favored so I flew under the radar which made it a quite enjoyable but others didn’t get that luxury.

Pros
The atmosphere is relaxed, inviting, and homey. The professors are always available to you, and they know you by name. You don't feel like you're just a "number". Everyone on campus has great, meaningful connections, and you always feel part of something greater than yourself.
Cons
I needed to take some courses I wasn't interested in just for the credits.

Pros
Great environment! The library is perfect place to study, once you get past level 1. The schedule for classes available was always convenient.
Cons
The admissions office lost my paperwork twice. Not the most reliable, as I’ve heard several similar stories.

Pros
The campus is absolutely beautiful, brimming with students life and surrounding nature. A walk through the campus, although time consuming, is a great way to clear your head. They are making progress in making the campus nicer, by upgrading building or building new ones. The gym is huge, and well worth the student fee.
Cons
Although there are a lot of programs for students who need help picking classes and sticking to a graduation plan, sometimes it's hard to connect to those resources, or staff members that could help. This is because their system is full of students needing help, and not everyone is able to be helped in a timely manner. In terms of making sure you select the right classes in order to graduate on time, most of that work is left up to the student themselves. Be prepared to make the matters of your education into your own hands at this campus. Also the campus and it's building are, for the most part, extremely dated.

Pros
The professors are more than willing to help with you with school assignments and answer your email questions quickly.
Cons
The online classes take up a lot of my time at home. I spend almost 4-5 hours every day doing 3 or 4 assignments a week. You really have to put a lot of thought and work in these assignments.

Pros
The Gabelli School of new york is a small environment where students are encouraged to know their administrators and professors. If isssues arise, those individuals are ready to listen and react. The career programs is one of the most roburt i’ve ever heard of: the school is very eager to place students in good positions. The alumni metwork is particularly strong.
Cons
We are a target school for finance and accounting not so much advisory. The marketing program is not as big as the finance: but it is being developed.

Pros
The school has the best resources to Professors. They truly want everyone to succeed. The school also does well to accommodate people's choice of living situations. It's a safe school and they take action on everything pretty quick.
Cons
The school lacks in diversity, but it is getting better than before. The school also could do better in offering school jobs.

Pros
The school faulty and students are welcoming to new incoming freshman and the university counselors are helpful and kind in helping you navigate your future plans of study.
Cons
The campus is old and does not represent its beauty as much as it can be. With COVID-19, the campus could put more restriction on face-to-face learning as to help prevent the spread more than it has already been out on campus.

Pros
Once you're enrolled in a program, they sign you up for all the classes you'll need and purchase all the materials you need for each class instead if scrounging around for availability. The staff and teachers are really on top of it. They constantly check in with you and remind you of due dates. If you're falling behind by a couple days they push a bunch of resources at you and tutors so that you catch back up.
Cons
The only con would be their website maintenance. The site works wonderfully but often times they would be running maintenance at inconvenient times.

Pros
Professors are great connections to connections. Students are creative and easy to work with. The workload is necessary and gives you a feel for what it will be like to work in the industry. On campus resources are always available and the student workers are always helpful. Scholarships are available for any and every student at Columbia. Am grateful for the transfer scholarships I received.
Cons
Experienced blatant racism on campus and a route check was done, but nothing further. I also wasn’t given the comfort I deserved. Some teachers aren’t as understanding to our situations. I get we are students and chose to be here, but many of us are on our own and have no one to support us off campus. Some teachers don’t care to understand that and will give you a hard time if you even try to talk to them.
