To compile this ranking of the best STEM jobs, our editors evaluated more than 50 jobs in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, consulting data from the Bureau of Labor and Statistics. Specifically, we looked at salary information as well as data regarding job projections to inform the rating and ranking methodology above. In cases of a tie, we consulted the job's median annual wage and afforded the higher-paying job the higher ranking.
