Founded in 1977, the New Hampshire Medical Group Management Association is an MGMA state affiliate offering members a $1,000 scholarship each year. Future health administrators must apply by mailing an application, transcript, resume, personal essay, and two reference letters to Manchester before May 1st. New Hampshirites could also qualify for the national Harry J. Harwick or Oncology Practice Alliance Scholarships.

2. George E. Watters Memorial Scholarship

Worth $5,000, the George E. Watters Memorial Scholarship is bestowed by the New England Water Works Association (NEWWA) upon future engineers yearly. It’s reserved for students residing and/or learning in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. Applications submitted before April 1st are also considered for the Francis X. Crowley and Joseph Murphy Scholarships.

  • Matriculate full-time at a four-year college in New England

3. Christa McAuliffe Field of Education Scholarship

The American Legion Department of New Hampshire manages eight funds across 107 posts statewide, including the Christa McAuliffe Field of Education Scholarship. Named after the Concord teacher who was killed on the Space ShuttleChallenger,the $2,000 program supports high school seniors’ track to teacher licensure. Please submit an application and financial need statement before May 1st.

4. Raymond K. Conley Memorial Scholarship

Another of the American Legion Department of New Hampshire’s college funds is the $2,000 Raymond K. Conley Memorial Scholarship. Full-time incoming freshmen who are pursuing majors like rehabilitation science, psychology, occupational therapy, or music therapy to improve people’s well-being could apply. Aspiring therapeutic practitioners must send the application to Concord before May 1st with a transcript, resume, and two endorsements.

  • Reside in New Hampshire for at least 36 months
  • Gain admission at a two-year or four-year U.S. college
  • Select majors in physical or mental rehabilitation
  • Maintain a minimum high school GPA of 3.0

5. Abbie Sargent Memorial Scholarship

The New Hampshire Farm Bureau Federation grants the Abbie Sargent Memorial Scholarship for up to $2,000 to tomorrow’s agricultural leaders. Residents of Coos, Carroll, Cheshire, Grafton, Sullivan, Strafford, Rockingham, and Merrimack counties could apply until March 15th annually. Applications will require three character references, a recent photograph, academic transcripts, proposed budget plans, and a list of extra-curricular activities.

Eligibility:

  • Graduate from a public or private high school in New Hampshire
  • Matriculate at least half-time at accredited colleges
  • Select agricultural majors, including forestry, horticulture, dairy science, and agribusiness
  • Have average or better grades with a minimum 2.0 GPA
