The College Solution
At The College Solution blog, school counselors can find tips and information on helping students in high school prepare to go to college. Rather than simply focusing on helpful things to tell students, though, The College Solution actually educates school counselors on things they may not know themselves, focusing on weaknesses many counselors have when it comes to preparing students for the future. Some topics covered include recommendation letters, bad advice people give to students pursuing college, and discussion about when school counselors just aren’t able to help. It’s a unique perspective that could be very enlightening for a lot of professionals.
Naomi Drew is a blog named after its owner, an author who’s written several books on subjects like bullying, parenting, and conflict resolution. As such, her blog focuses on several of these topics which school counselors and education professionals may find useful. There are also book recommendations, downloads, articles, lessons, and files available for free for teachers and school counselors to read and apply to their workplace.
