Pros
You get student discounts on stuff
Cons
Its hard to find counseling and advising in one place. You have to go around campus like a headless chicken just to get one answer. They also dont care what your going through during a pandemic, they just want money!

Pros
Most of the professors in the Communications department are very good at helping students learn. There are many opportunities to get help when a student is struggling. The campus is small so everything is accessible.
Cons
There are not a lot of opportunities for liberal arts majors. When professors are tenured they rarely have consequences for mildly inappropriate behavior.

Pros
The professors are always nice and helpful. You have a student coach that you can message for help as well. They have a free tutoring program. They have a messenger service as well as email. The best part is they have a mobile app you can do all your school work on.
Cons
I haven't had a negative experience yet. Just be informed the terms are 5.5 weeks long so it moves fast. I am not a big fan of the discussion boards.

Pros
After i finally got to move in I got my dorm and it’s so great. Way better than I was expecting. I have a room to my self and I’ve been able to find my own peace. It’s very spatial and I love the room set up. Also I have a bathroom to my self it’s great.
Cons
Due to Covid, move ins got delayed so all my classes were online for a while and I lived in another state. So because of this I fell behind because a lot of my classes immediately were giving work and I was struggling trying to maneuver through the online material with all my classes. This put some stress on me but now that I moved in I’m getting the help I need and catching back up on my classwork.

Pros
overall with TCC, it has been a good experience especially through the Tulsa Achieves program
Cons
The transfer process to other schools is not great. I would recommend getting an associates and then transferring. Customer service for TCC is also not good. It takes 40-2hours just to ask a simple question.

Pros
The people on campus are so kind and inviting, they really do make it feel like home. A lot of the professors are super kind as well and very understanding if any special accommodations are necessary or if any unexpected situation occurs. The school also makes it very easy to attend all sporting events, with super cheap prices for season football tickets and free tickets to all other sporting events! Food in stadiums and arenas is also super cheap as well. Mississippi State offers tons of money in academic scholarships- it was actually cheaper for me to go to MSU than a school in my home state! There are also tons of on & off-campus activities for students to get involved in.
Cons
Not much to say here other than that student organizations can be very exclusive. They tend to pick the same people for each organization, making it hard for anyone else to get involved.

Pros
So far, my experience has been as great as it could be for the situation we are in. I joined the METAS Program at my school and I was able to get grants for books and other expenses, and I took a summer course through METAS that made me feel prepared for the upcoming semester. SJCC has been providing so many amazing things not only for their students (such as grants and online financial aid seminars) but also for the community. They give out groceries to anyone in need every other Wednesday, I believe, and I think that is just so amazing and I have yet to see other schools doing the same. My classes have been going really well and my professors are excellent. Choosing my classes was also pretty easy. I have counselors that help me and are always available to make sure I feel prepared and i know what my next steps are.
Cons
This is my first year of college and although I do enjoy it so far, I would much preferred to experience my first year on campus. I don’t even really know what cons there are (other than a lack of amount of clubs) because I haven’t been getting the full experience. However, I completely understand that on campus learning is just not possible at this time. I just hope I’ll be able to experience next year on campus.
